December is generally a slow time of year for shooting concerts since the tour circuit slows down for the holidays, but I was very happy to be able to shoot the first night of a four night run at the 9:30 Club by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

I had no idea the band was big enough to warrant a four night run at the club, but I have to admit they really blew me away. I have to say, this is one of my favorite photo sets of the entire year.

Grace Potter is a natural on stage, it was hard to take my eyes (and my lens) off of her during our three songs. She did it all in that short time, played the piano, strapped on a Flying V and also played the role of lead singer with just the mic.
