This was, without a doubt, the most turnt crowd I have seen this year. Yes, even more than this show. I certainly was not expecting a crowd of churchgoing Baby Boomers to get up and shake their moneymakers, but that’s exactly what happened. Kirk Franklin came onstage and just went to town. It was amazing. I had no idea what to expect from this show, but I certainly wasn’t expecting to be so thoroughly entertained. It was very eye-opening to see gospel music performed this way. As something pretty much anyone could relate to. In retrospect, it’s very easy to see why Franklin is so popular and why someone like Kanye would want to tap into his vibe for The Life of Pablo. I would jump at the chance to shoot another Kirk Franklin show.
