I’m a bit late on these photos (they are from December), but that doesn’t take away from Ex Hex’s great set opening for The Hives at the 9:30 Club. Opening for the best band in the world is no easy task, so it was great to see a local band get a shot and perform admirably. Ex hex is the latex band from Mary Timony (ex-of a ton of bands, most recently Wild Flag), and they sound a bit Wild Flag-ish, and that’s a very good thing. They should be touring up a storm in 2014, so be sure to check them out!
