Every few months the Embassy of Turkey hosts a jazz concert as part of their Coca-Cola Jazz Series to honor the legacy of music industry titan Ahmet Ertegun and they contract me to take photos of the reception and the concert. It’s always a very interesting mix of celebrities, politicians and musicians and the concerts are all top notch. December’s event featured appearances from Madeleine Albright (straight off the plane from an overseas trip) and Herbie Hancock and a performance by Cécile McLorin Salvant.
