I caught Luke Bryan opening for Jason Aldean at Merriweather over the weekend and I enjoyed his show. His stage personality was on the cheeky side and he looked lik he was having a lot of fun on stage. That’s always a good thing because it comes across in the photos.
Even though I don’t listen to what passes as country music these days, I generally know one or two songs by the bigger country artists that I shoot. For Bryan that was his song “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” which got a huge response from the crowd. Sadly I was stuck at the soundboard for this show and was only allowed two songs, so my hands were a bit tied. I rented a 300 for this show and if anything I needed more reach. I could have gotten away with a 400. I’ll have to try that next time.
