Tammy Haddad’s 2011 WHCD Brunch

The day of the annual White House Correspondents Dinner always kicks off early with a brunch hosted by local media veteran Tammy Haddad. Celebrities and media powerhouses alike come and hobnob before the night’s main event. This year’s featured guests included The Palins, Chace Crawford, Shaun White, Maria Bello and more.

The media were given two shooting positions to choose from, inside with the step and repeat area and outside for arrivals. I split my time between the two but ended up preferring the outside spot. Party goers were a bit more relaxed out there  and it never hurts to shoot in natural light, even if exposures varied wildly from the shade in front of the house and the sunlight a few steps away.
