Perfume Genius in Concert

The Hamilton proved to be a great venue to see Perfume Genius perform songs from his critically acclaimed album Too Bright. Mike Hadreas had the audience enthralled all night and it was easy to understand why. The dramatic lighting also helped set the mood for the show. The spotlights in particular gave me a lot of different looks to work with. To think I almost didn’t go to this show…I would classify myself as a casual Slowdive fan. Jason Derulo is a dynamic performer, of that there is no doubt. I shot him last year at the Jingle Ball but had never seen him do his own show, so I must admit I was quite impressed with the setup he brought to the Fillmore.
