To think I almost didn’t go to this show…I would classify myself as a casual Slowdive fan. I’m no diehard and while I was intrigued to see them on their reunion tour, it was by no means something I couldn’t miss. Boy was I wrong. This show was INCREDIBLE. The band sounded amazing, and I’m not saying that because my friend Michael that does the sound for the Super Furry Animals is working the mixing board on this tour. “Crazy For You” was especially intense. I definitely walked out of the 9:30 Club a bigger Slowdive fan than when I entered. There has been talk of perhaps more tours in the future for Slowdive. If so, I definitely won’t miss those shows.
