Chase Rice has had quite a life. Former college football player at UNC, former NASCAR pit crew member, runner-up on Survivor. He’s done a lot. Now he’s an up-and-comer on the country music circuit and it;s easy to see why. His rough and tumble songs fit right in with the recent wave of “bro country” acts. His show was a bit rock n’ roll, which sets him apart a bit from some of his peers. This was a fun show but it had the smallest pit I’ve ever encountered at the Fillmore. There wasn’t any room to move around and I was sharing it with a young lady armed with just a point and shoot that didm;t move at all, so I was limited to covering just one half of the stage.
