This was a funs how with a very raucous crowd. So much energy. Brown’s earned quite a few plaudits for his latest album, Old, and I enjoyed his show to a point. But his flow is so samey. The nasal-y voice he uses got old for me after the first few songs. But audience, made up of teens and tweens, totally ate it up.
As you can see, lights for this show weren’t all that great. It seems the Howard has installed anew lighting system or changed lighting personell because what used to be big, bright lights (the best in town if I’m being honest) are now a mess of deep reds and purples with one lone spotlight at the center of the stage. Basically, once a performer moves to the sides of the stage, they’re unshootable. Shame.
