This was a really interesting gig that turned into a fun assignment (despite the lack of a photo pit). Beach House, The Walkmen, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Wye Oak and a few other bands got together and organized a short tour to pay tribute to Gene Clark’s seminal No Other album. Basically a bunch of people alternated singing the songs from the album while a supergroup-type band made up of members of all the bands I mentioned (and a few other people) provided the soundtrack. Pretty cool, right? My only complaint was Hamilton from The Walkmen sang the 4th song so I wasn’t allowed to shoot him. Otherwise this show was a blast.
