I’m not sure how I’ve gone this long without seeing Big Freedia live, but it was a mistake. What a show! This was as packed as I’ve seen the Howard in quite some time. The venue was full of people dancing their ass off, including Freedia. People were climbing over each other to get on the stage and shake their shit, but Freedia wouldn’t let them until his big hit, “Azz Everywhere.” Then all hell broke loose. The vibe was incredible. This was definitely one of the best shows I had the pleasure of seeing this year. Check out Chris Kelly’s review for the Washington Post for more.
