I took this assignment because I had so much fun shooting Major Lazer a few years back at the Pitchfork Festival but I immediately questioned my decision when I was informed the show wouldn’t start until 10 and Major Lazer wouldn’t be onstage until 11:30. But everything worked out and this turned out to be one of my favorite assignments of the year.

My immediate thought s after this show was
1) I REALLY need to invest in an ultra wide lens. Sometimes 24mm isn’t wide enough (as was the case for this gig)
2) it really frustrates me when a show this bananas has crappy lighting and I can’t capture half the things I see

We got 15 minutes int he photo pit but I went upstairs before I left to get some crowd shots and I’m glad I did. As soon as I got up there, Diplo broke out the plastic bubble.
