Seems like DC has been waiting forever for local boy Dave Grohl to come to the Verizon Center and play a proper homecoming gig with the Foo Fighters. Last week we were treated to just that.

Instead of complaining about the pit restrictions (we had to pick a side and stay there), the six-foot high stage or that Dave Grohl spent one of the three allotted songs with his back to us, I’ll just say it was very nice to see a proper arena rock show with long guitar solos, gratuitous songs sung by the drummer and epic hair shots.
