Like the Tweed Ride in the fall, the Seersucker Social is fast becoming a summer tradition here in D.C. These events keep getting bigger and bigger. People love to dress up and, luckily for me, have their photo taken.
This year’s Seersucker Social started with a bike ride from Meridian Hill Park to Hillwood Estates, just off of Connecticut Avenue, near Van Ness. I had never been to Hillwood Estates, but really enjoyed the environment. Green lawns, a putting green, rolling hills, rose gardens…there was a lot to see.
I’ve shot the Tweed Ride twice now, so I skipped the ride portion of the vent this year and just stuck with the finish line.
