Lady Antebellum Performs at Merriweather Post Pavilion

COLUMBIA, MD - May 20th, 2012 - Grammy Award-winning group Lady Antebellum perform to a packed house at Merriweather Post Pavilion in COlumbia, MD. The group's last album, We Own The Night, reached #1 on the US Billboard 200. Their stage set up has changed somewhat but their show hasn’t. All of their shows are soundboard shoots, which severely cuts down on the types of photos you can get, but to the group’s credit, the lights are generally very good and the three members of the band stand together for a good bit of the first tow songs, so group shots are plentiful.

We were stationed directly in front of the sound and lighting guys, both of who got a little grumpy when I stood on my stool to shoot. If your sound and lighting techs need a clear view of the stage to do their jobs, why are photographers placed in front of them during our shooting time? Sometimes I think tour managers and bands don’t think these things through AT ALL.

This show was also on the annual “Wine In The Woods” festival, so everyone was nice and lubed up by the time the band took the stage.
