Erykah Badu Performs at the Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD.

I’ve shot Erykah Badu a few times in the past but last weekend’s show at the Fillmore Silver Spring was by far the best. And I’m not saying that because it was the first time I shot her in somewhat decent light.

We were only given two songs, which wasn’t ideal but turned out just fine. Badu doesn’t move around on stage much, but does strike some nice poses if you position yourself correctly. Her huge furry hat and fringe jacket certainly made for some nice additions to these photos.
