Little Big Town @ 9:30 Club

WASHINGTON, DC - February 14th 2013 - Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild and Phillip Sweet of Little Big Town perform at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Off the top of my head, the only times I’ve had to shoot from the back of the venue at the 9:30 Club were Adele and Frank Ocean. Unfortunately I had to add country act Little Big Town to that list last month. And that’s too bad, because they had a killer light show.

As it was I was relegated to the VIP area, on the second floor of the balcony, the same place I shot Adele, although I rented a 300mm lens for that show. It would have been nice to have a 300mm for this show  for some close ups, but I was stuck with my trusty 70-200mm. This allowed me to get shots of all four band members, but limited the variety of my shots.
