One of the biggest nights out in D.C. every year is the annual Fashion For Paws charity event. This was my second year covering it and it’s amazing how much it’s grown in just the last 365 days.
Last year’s event was held at the Itlaian Embassy, whereas this year’s event was moved to the much larger National Building Museum. The event is basically a fashion show made up of “models” that each raised over $3,000 for the Washington Humane Society. Once you reach your fundraising goal, you get to strut your stuff on the catwalk.
All the clothes come from Tyson’s Galleria and many of the models brought their own dogs to walk the runway with. I grabbed a spot up front near the beginning of the runway in order to get a different perspective from all the other photogs in attendance. I also had a bit of time to snap a few photos of the guests as they mingles before the show started.
