Hi JP,

My settings depend on the venue and the act. My D3 is very usable at ISO 2000 so I generally start out there and adjust accordingly. The Cat and RnR Hotel are definitely challenging venues to shoot in, particularly the RnR Hotel. I genuinely stick to prime lenses that are faster than 2.8 or those venues. The lights at the 9:30 vary wildly depending on the act. One thing to remember is always keep your shutter speed faster than the length of your lens. That will ensure your photos are sharper. That's not always possible, but that's what you should aim for.

Really great shots!
I've always wondered what your settings are at. My Canon 7D max's out at ISO 6400 (not including extended high ISO which is practically unusable) and I still have to leave my camera at f/2.8 and around 1/60 or 1/80. After getting luminance noise out my images are left pretty soft. I always wonder if it is the higher capability of your body, or is it the venues you shoot at are much brighter than the "smaller" ones I shoot at like Black Cat, Rock & Roll Hotel, and sometimes even 9:30 club?

Kyle,

Thanks. I ordered the bag and have since received it. All my gear fits perfectly and am using a case I had already that attaches to the strap to hold my phone and extras. It is a great bag and should work well for my travels.

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately I can't answer your question. I had to send the bag back to Crumpler when my review was done. I took a look at the Bryce and it should work, and if not, Crumpler have similar pouches that I'm sure would work. I suggest emailing Crumpler, they've always been very good at replying to my email questions. Good Luck!

Nice review. I'm heading to London in a few weeks and am looking for a better camera/day bag for my trip and this looks to fit the bill. I have a Fujifilm X-S1 and looks like plenty of room for it, Blackberry Playbook and well as all my carry on goodies. I'm thinking of buying the Blackrapid Bryce to attach to the front of the sling strap to carry my iPhone and other small items. Can you tell me how wide the strap is? The Bryce can fit straps up to 2.5" wide so it looks like it would work. Thanks, Steve
