It’s not every day that you get to photograph the Grammy Award winners for Album of the Year just a few days after they win the award, so of course I was excited about shooting Mumford & Sons at the Patriot Center last week. Sadly, once the gig began I quickly remembered why I hated shooting them last year at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Basically, for a band as openly energetic as the Mumford boys, they sure do stand still. They make Oasis look like Sleigh Bells as far as stage movement goes. And they cram so much gear on the stage that it’s very difficult to get any shots that aren’t you basic waist up torso shot. Lights for this gig were fine, but they got much better once the first three were over. But that happens so much these days I should probably just stop mentioning it.
